In this step, you’ll have a consultation with Blake to talk about your wants and needs for your new home. We’ll discuss how you want to use the space, which features match your lifestyle, and which design elements you like. By leveraging our expertise and considering your homesite, preferences, and budget, we’ll help you discover the perfect home for your family.
You’ve picked your ideal homesite and decided on your home features. Now, we need to evaluate how the home and land fit together. Blake will start collecting the required information for permits, utilities, and other essentials.
With a Blake Anthony Homes property, the base price includes soil testing, permits, and utility hookups. We’ll give you a clear breakdown of these costs, plus our included allowance, so you can see how they match your budget. This complete overview will be part of your Construction Agreement before we start building, ensuring no surprises or hidden fees.
As we assess the site, you’ll work with Blake to finalize the design of your new home. You’ll sign the Construction Agreement once everything is agreed upon and the site costs are calculated.
You’ll receive the final price after you choose your selections, and we conduct the soil and perc tests. Then, we’ll set a date for closing your construction loan. Note: This is different from building in a Blake Anthony Homes community, where you close after the construction is completed. When you build on your own land, you close before the construction begins (after you secure your homesite). We’ll arrange a Key Exchange for when your new home is ready.
As excitement builds, Blake will obtain permits and order the items selected during your selection appointment. Once everything is in order, construction of your new home will commence, bringing your dream home to life.
